Ananda Viplava Community was founded in 2012 with the purchase of a 78 acre parcel of fields and forest in the beautiful foothills of the Northern Catskills, in Purling, NY.
A new meditation hall was recently completed at the Ananda Viplava Master Unit in Purling, NY. It marks a big step in our plans to have a self-contained retreat center. Underneath the meditation hall construction continues on a commercial kitchen.
Another new structure at Ananda Viplava is a barn which will store the farming equipment.
And, speaking of farming, Dada Gananathananda is hard at work on this year’s crop of vegetables, fruit and flowers.
